Insurance
At this time I am out of network with all insurance carriers, including Medicare. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Telepsychiatry and My Practice
I practice telepsychiatry and conduct all sessions through a secure and HIPAA compliant platform, allowing me to treat individuals living in the state of Texas. Telemedicine allows clients to integrate treatment into their busy schedules more easily.
As a solo practitioner practicing telemedicine, there are limitations to my practice. Individuals experiencing major psychotic disorders, significant drug or alcohol problems, major neurocognitive disorders, or recurrent and severe suicide attempts and self-harm are better served by a local mental health clinic or health care system. I do not conduct psychiatric evaluations for purposes other than mental health treatment, such as evaluations required for an employer or school, legal proceedings, disability benefits, or medical clearance. I do not prescribe daily use of stimulant medication (Adderall, Vyvanse, etc.), or benzodiazepines (clonazepam, alprazolam, etc.).
Scheduling Initial and Follow-Up Sessions
After completing the consultation request on this website, you will be contacted at the number you provided to discuss client fit. Should you agree to schedule a full consultation, it will be done at that time. Once you have become an establish client, follow-up sessions are typically scheduled at the end of the session or can be requested by secure messaging or phone calls.
Cancellation, No Show, and Late Policy
Cancellations or missed sessions must be made 24 hours (one business day) before the scheduled session. If a session is not canceled with more than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full fee of your late cancellation or missed session. Your session time is reserved for only and will not be extended should you arrive late.
Communication
Communication outside of sessions occurs via either the patient portal or via secure text or phone call. These are the most secure means of communicating your protected health information and will be a part of the Electronic Health Record. Some communication requires a phone call conversation or an session. Please see the rates for phone calls or paperwork done outside of sessions. Schedule requests and canceling sessions, viewing your visit summaries, and refill requests can be done through either of these methods.
You will be given enough medication and refills until your next session. If you notice you are almost out of medications, it is your responsibility to schedule a follow-up session as soon as possible. If you need medication refilled between sessions, please send the office a refill request. If a medication is refilled between office visits, enough medication will be prescribed until your next visit. Medications will not be refilled if you do not have an office visit scheduled. Please allow 2-3 business days to complete the medication refill requests. Refills will not be processed over the weekend. If you use a mail order pharmacy, please request a refill 3 weeks before you run out of medication.

Urgent Care and Emergencies
For urgent matters please contact me by phone and leave a voicemail, stating that it is urgent. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. As a solo practitioner, I cannot provide emergency services.
In case of emergency, or if you feel you are in danger of harming yourself, or others, or feel unsafe, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are a family member or friend with concerns about a client’s safety, please do not wait for me to call back in case of an emergency. Please call the non-emergent police line and request a welfare safety check for the individual (have their name, address, and contact information and concerns ready) or 911 for acute safety concerns.
